SUDHA MAHESH

I am in the teaching line for the past 33 years. I have worked in esteemed schools like Vidya  Mandir, Chennai, Krishnamurthi Foundation school, Bangalore and Aditi Mallya International School, Bangalore before starting my own school, “Headstart”, 15 years ago. We have 2 schools, one at Kottivakkam catering only to Kindergarten and the other at Thoraipakkam where we have classes 1 to 10. We follow ICSE syllabus up to 7^th and the IGCSE a Cambridge programme for 8^th, 9^th and 10^th.

I conduct workshops for teachers regularly on innovative teaching methods and have authored Mathematics books both for Sharada Publications and Cambridge University Press, India.

I have also been associated with such organisations as Scholastic, Tulika Publications and Karadi Tales in the field of publications related to children and as a resource person with Wipro’s Applying Thoughts in Education, TN Forces dealing with early childhood education and curriculum planning for Tamilnadu Department of Education as well as with Organisation of Muslim Educational Institutes Association of Tamilnadu.

I conduct workshops for students in creative areas such as art and craft, story telling, illustrating, pottery, puppetry and creative writing.

I am a consultant for several schools in the field of curriculum planning and teacher training, both in Chennai city and in other towns.
